Lyonsbennett clients have been shortlisted for awards at the prestigious Communicate Magazine 2018 Corporate and Financial Awards taking place at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden this evening Tuesday 25 September 2018.
The annual awards, which celebrate excellence in the field of financial communications, recognise the importance of stakeholder communication and how it can influence a company’s brand. It is this very fact which makes this awards ceremony so important because, as Communicate Magazine put it, the event is: “the only true benchmark of companies’ communication with the City and its influencers.”
The awards programme celebrates and showcases excellence in financial communications and recognition of the efforts of the staff, companies, agencies and beneficiaries. For companies trying to reach investors, analysts, consultants in the investment community, financial journalists and their peers, corporate reporting is the primary means of communication. These awards recognise excellence in this area and in all aspects of corporate communications with these stakeholder groups.
Lyonsbennett clients will be competing in two categories and with three nominations. Our client RDI REIT P.L.C. has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Printed Report FTSE 250 Category.
Our clients GCP Student Living plc and IG Design Group plc have both been shortlisted for the AIM/Small Cap Category, facing stiff competition in all categories from some of the biggest names in annual report agencies from across the country.
We are so proud of our clients’ reports and here’s why…
RDI REIT P.L.C. is a property investor and real estate investment trust and a constituent of the FTSE 250. Its 2017 annual report achieves the intended goal of clear, consistent reporting and stakeholder communication. Its report coincided with a corporate rebranding programme. We worked together to create clear and extensive links throughout the report to holistically tell the company’s story whilst also showcasing integrated reporting, modernity, colour and personality. The report is finished in an oversized format with a modern matt, uncoated paper ensuring that the colour palette pops!
GCP Student Living plc invest in student accommodation assets in and around London, Brighton and Bristol. 2017 marked a rebrand for this company too, as it wanted to form a clear and separate personality from its Investment Manager, Gravis. We are proud of the report, which is dynamic, specific and provides a thoughtfully contextualised case for investment in the company. Colour coding and size convey all the information elegantly and succinctly whilst user-friendly summary infographics and imposing full-colour asset photography help to make the information both digestible and engaging. Navigation also reflects client messaging in its clarity. The bespoke size of the report and its minimal, engaging and design-led style make it a report of real substance.
Last but not least, IG Design Group plc is a market-leading global manufacturer and distributer of design-led products for life’s important occasions. “Fun facts” and “blueprints for success” are interwoven within the narrative of the report, which bring life to the achievement of key financial milestones. The report also includes a range of key integrated communication elements such as: strategy, the business model, CSR risk, market position and USPs. The report, which was presented in a branded box alongside a video, featured a foiled rainbow cover, sticker page with key financial messages, tip in pages on textured paper with messages and milestones and commissioned imagery of IG Design Group products finished with a high gloss spot UV varnish.
The judging panel at the Corporate and Financial Awards is made up of 18 leading industry experts, including Jo Britten, Director of Investor Relations at MoneySuperMarket, Cecilia Coonan, Corporate Relations Director at Burberry, and Andrew Whyte, Director of Communications at the Financial Conduct Authority. They look to find reports that prioritise ease of access to key information whilst telling an organisation’s corporate story to stakeholders.
We pride ourselves on achieving these two things with each and every report and wish all our nominees a successful evening.
