The challenge:
After working with lyonsbennett for a number of years, JLEN Environmental Assets (JLEN), an environmental infrastructure investment company, was acquired by Foresight Group, an international investment manager specialising in real assets and private equity, in 2019. In 2024, JLEN changed its name to Foresight Environmental Infrastructure (FGEN) and simultaneously introduced a refreshed visual identity.
The challenge was to roll out this new visual identity that aligned with the Foresight Group brand, while still retaining FGEN’s own distinct personality.
Our approach:
Having also worked with Foresight Group since their IPO in 2021, we were perfectly placed to refresh FGEN’s reporting suite to visually align with the rest of the Foresight family. The updated identity used the same core brand elements, including font, gradient and ripple device, while introducing unique colours and shapes to preserve FGEN’s point of difference.
The Group’s refreshed brand literature system considered sustainability at every turn, even reducing ink in gradient designs to improve environmental credentials. We also future-proofed the communications by creating a digital-first half-year report in 2024.
The outcome:
The refreshed identity embeds FGEN within the Foresight brand while retaining its individuality. It delivers consistency across communications and reinforces FGEN’s role within a group recognised for driving the energy transition, decarbonisation and nature recovery.
